William Hendon

The funeral for Bill Ed Hendon will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
John Dale will officiate. Burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Saturday.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Murray-Calloway County Hospital Hospice House Building fund, 803 Poplar St., Murray, KY 42071.

Mr. Hendon, 86, Murray, died Thursday, June 10, 2010, at 2:55 a.m. at the Western Baptist Hospital, Paducah.
An Army veteran of World War Ii, he was a dairy farmer and a member of Glendale Road Church of Christ.
Born August 4, 1923, in Calloway County, he was the son of the late Rudy Hendon and Cassie Allbritten Hendon.
Also preceding him in death was one brother, Robert Hendon.
Survivors include his wife, Dorval Fields Hendon, to whom he was married March 2, 1947; one daughter, Marsha Dale and husband, John, one son, Billy Hendon and wife, Barbara, and sister-in-law, Rachel Hendon, all of Murray; four grandchildren, Karen Weatherly and husband, David, Paris, Tenn., Mike Dale, Clarksville, Tenn., Billy Joe Hendon and fiancee, Hannah Johnson, Almo, and Cassie Hendon, Murray; two great-grandchildren, Luke and James Weatherly, Paris, Tenn.
