Thelma Rose

Mrs. Thelma Rose, age 93, of Murray, Kentucky died at 6:50 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at her home.

Mrs. Rose was born October 1, 1922 in Marshall County, Kentucky to the late Clanon & Izella Green Gamble. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Euel Rose; son, Euel Michael Rose; sisters, Ruby Gamble and Margie Myers; brother, Edmond Gamble. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Barry Rose (Diane), Murray; daughter in law, Rosetta Rose, Murray; three sisters, Murlene Crouch, Murray, Eva Mae Siress, Benton, and Donna Wheatley, Almo; brothers, Kenneth Gamble (Pat), Benton, Paul Gamble (Joyce), Benton, and Leroy Gamble (Rose Mary), Benton; five granddaughters, Kimberly Rose Elkins (Eric), Benton, Kristie Rose Thompson (Mickey), Murray, Ashley Rose Houston (Justin), Murray, Tiffany Rose Kernell (Clayton), Louisville, TN, and Traci Rose Cossey (Trent), Murray; nine great grandchildren, Morgan Elkins, McKenzie Elkins, Jacob Thompson, Benjamin Thompson, Kaylee Kernell, Carter Kernell, Kadence Kernell, Colton Kernell, and Braxton Cossey; one step great grandchild, Cole Houston.

Friends may visit the family from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, also at the Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home, with Rev. Kerry Lambert officiating.
A committal service will be held in Bell Memorial Chapel at Murray Memorial Gardens, with interment following in the Garden of Christus.
