Ruth Lucas

Ruth H. Lucas July 21, 1929-Nov. 15, 2008 Ruth H. Lucas, 79, of Carleton, died at 3:50 p.m. Saturday at Liberty Nursing Center of Toledo. In accordance to her wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a family memorial service held on March 14, 2009 in Murray Memorial Gardens, Murray, Kentucky. Born July 21, 1929 in Golden Pond, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Prentice and Loretta (Attebury) Ross. She married Walter Lucas in May 1981 in Pontiac; he preceded her in death in March 1994. She worked in the accounting department at General Motors in Pontiac. She was a 1947 graduate of Melvindale High School and a member of Redeemer Fellowship Church. She and her husband enjoyed doing many activities together including golfing, bowling, roller skating and attending church. She is survived by a brother, Robert L. Ross of Roswell, Georgia; two sisters, Mary N. Walls of Carleton and Virginia P. Tucker of Hardin, Kentucky; a sister-in-law, Lou B. Ross of California; nephews, Dale Walls, Kevin Walls, Scott Walls, and David Eby, Dan Eby; nieces, Rebecca Mills, Chelsea Mills, Melonie Mills, Sherry Eby, Tammy Trombley and several other nieces and nephews in California, Kentucky and Georgia. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Clayton W. Ross.
