Richard A. Waddell
Richard A. Waddell, 68, Lynn Grove, died Saturday, April 4, 2009, at 9 a.m. at his home.
He had retired from the United States Navy as an EMCM after 20 years of service, and also from Kenlake Foods. Born June 21, 1940, he was the son of the late Lorein Everett Waddell and Ruth Alberta Smith Waddell. One sister, Deloris Clapper, also preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Jane Fleming Waddell, to whom he was married July 27, 1962; one son, Alan Waddell and wife, Dayna, Elizabethtown; two daughters, Charmaine Lamb and husband, Darren, Murray, and Charleigh Osterloh and husband, Dean, Rifle, Colo.; one brother, Harold Waddell, Canton, Ohio; four sisters, Donna Roberson, Santa Fe, Texas, Joan Travis, Alliance, Ohio, and Patricia Cottrell and husband, Frank, and Linda Vieira, all of Canton, Ohio; five grandchildren, John Robert Williams, Tisha Kirks, Ben Waddell, and Craig and Alexis Lamb; one great-grandchild, Ty Kirks.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Churchill-Imes Heritage Funeral Home. Rev. David Roos will officiate. Burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens with military rites at the graveside. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
