Myrtle Nell Rogers Evans Myrtle Nell Rogers Evans, 79, of Murray, died at 8:05 p.m. .Friday, November 27, 2009 at Spring Creek Health Care Center. Born Jan. 29, 1930 in Trigg County, Evans was the daughter of William Haydon Rogers Sr. and Bernice (Sadler) Faughn, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brother, the Rev. W.H. Rogers Jr. and one sister, Linda Eaton. A member of Grace Baptist Church, she was a member of the Share Sunday School Class of which she was a former teacher. Evans retired after 40 years as an LPN; the last 28 years at Murray Calloway County Hospital. She is survived by two sons, Marshall Gosser and his wife, Freda, of South Carolina and Kyle Evans and his wife, Kim, of Murray; two sisters, Jo Ann Herron and her husband, Larry, of La Belle, Fla., and Dr. Donna Packa and her husband, Joe, of Hoover, Ala.; one brother, Gary Rogers of Pennsylvania. She is also survived by grandchildren Laura Gosser Wilson and her husband, William; James Gosser and his wife, Trisha, and Jordan Roberts and Mikaylen Evans. Visitation has been scheduled from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday at Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home in Murray. Services will be on Monday at 1:00PM at Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home.
