Funeral services for Myrtis Stubblefield, 99, of Murray, will be held today, Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Bob Palmer and Steven Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens.
Stubblefield died Monday, March 28, 2011, at 1:25 a.m. at her home.
Born Jan. 14, 1912 in Calloway County, she was a homemaker and a member of the New Concord Church of Christ.
Preceding in death were her husband, Ewen Stubblefield; parents, Odia and Gertrude Wisehart McClure; two brothers, Glen Mason McClure and Aylon McClure; and sister, Fay Warren.
She is survived by a daughter, Glenda Martin and husband, Larry of Murray; sister, Nell Smith of Murray; sister-in-law, Clemonteen McClure of Paris, Tenn.; and two grandchildren, Zach and Brad Martin, both of Murray.
