Mavis Young

Mrs. Mavis Oeda Young, age 89, of Charley Miller Road, Almo, Kentucky, died at 9:10pm Sunday at the Spring Creek Health Care Center. She was born Jan. 21,1920 in Calloway Co, to the late Edgar & Lucy (Wyatt) Nanney. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Young, her son Rickey Young, and two sisters, Agnes Johnston, and Lela Dorthey. Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Morgan (Charles); her son, Randy Young (Zetta), one sister, Bessie Elkins, eight grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.
Mrs. Young was a member of Hickory Grove Church of Christ, and a retired seamstress.
Services will be held at 1:00pm Thursday at York Funeral Chapel, with John Dale and Michael Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Murray Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 4:00pm until 8:00pm Wednesday at York Funeral Home.
