Mrs. Lyda Sue McMillen, age 87, of Murray, Kentucky died on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice in Murray, Kentucky.
Mrs. McMillen was born February 20, 1930 in Murray, Kentucky, to the late Osro Butterworth and Estelle Farmer Butterworth. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William McMillen; daughter, Phyllis Brandon; daughter in law, Connie McMillen; sister, Peggy Parrish; and granddaughter, Kimberly Michelle McMillen.
Mrs. McMillen was retired from Fisher-Price Mattel, and was a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ.
Survivors include four sons, James McMillen of Murray, Kentucky, Randy McMillen and wife Laura of Paris, Kentucky, David McMillen and wife Chana of Dover, Massachusetts, and John McMillen of Boise, Idaho; son in law, Danny Brandon of Lexington, Kentucky; three sisters, Annette Wilson of Murray, Shirley Morris and husband Max of Murray, and Joan Orr and husband Billy Dan of Murray; three brothers, Jimmy Butterworth and wife Inez of Murray, Jackie Butterworth and wife Clarkie of Murray, and Pat Butterworth and wife Evelyn of Murray; nine grandchildren, Billy McMillen, Nikki Crouch, Kelly Brandon, Keith Brandon, Andy McMillen, Amanda McMillen, Elizabeth McMillen, Georgia Claire McMillen, and William McMillen; nine great grandchildren, Taylor Crouch, Tanner Crouch, Kimmie Crouch, Michael Brandon, Kaylee McMillen, Jay McMillen, Eloise Whitmore, Oliver Whitmore, and Emma Brandon.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. John Dale will officiate, and burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held after 5:00 p.m., Friday, March 10, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
