Lorraine Adams

Mrs. Lorraine Sue Arnett Adams, 98, of Murray passed away December 10, 2018 at Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Mrs. Adams was born April 11, 1920 in Graves County, Kentucky to Sam and Lola Allen Arnett. She was a faithful member of First Baptist in Murray where she was the oldest member.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her husband, William Clayton Adams, Sr. on Nov. 28, 1990; a son, William Clayton “Bill” Adams Jr.; granddaughter, Amanda Adams; sisters, Linda Arnett Bell, Evelyn Arnett Rohrer, Grace Anna Arnett Hargrove; brothers, Allen and Halburn Arnett.
She is survived by children, Jerry Adams and Beverly of Mooresville, NC, Genevieve Humphreys Adams of Murray, Judy Adams Henry and Bobby of Sikeston, MO; sisters-in-law, Anna Colley Arnett of Mayfield, Terry Kuhn Arnett of Louisville; grandchildren, William Clayton “Chip” Adams and Jill Miller Adams, Courtney Adams Vanover and Ryan, Melissa Henry Morris and Tim, Lori Henry Bunting and Aaron, Meredith Henry Hipes and Preston; fourteen great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Lorraine was ever the Christian Lady devoted wife, mother, homemaker, chef, nutrionist, church worker, missionary, Sunday school teacher, choir member and lady. She was adored by her husband and loved by her children.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018 at the Heritage chapel of Imes Funeral Home. Keith Inman and Boyd Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at the Murray Memorial Gardens. Winfield Rose, David Parker, John D. Hopkins, Tim Miller, Joe Browning, and Ken Winters will serve as pallbearers. The Be-One Sunday School class of First Baptist, Eugene Wagner and the staff and residents of Hickory Woods and Sheila Melvin will be honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive visitors from 10AM–2PM, Saturday Dec. 15 at the Heritage Chapel.
