Linda Sue Conner Butterworth
Linda Sue Conner Butterworth, 87, exited this life and peacefully entered the next on June 2, 2017, surrounded by the people she held most dear.
She was born Jan. 31, 1930, in Sedalia, Kentucky.
Linda spent nearly 50 years in central Florida before moving to Montgomery, Alabama in 2002, and then to Decatur, Alabama in 2015. A devoted wife and loving mother, she was an influential Christian woman with a beautiful smile and a heart of gold. Her zeal for life was contagious, and she filled her days serving her Lord, raising her family, playing golf and bridge, hosting dinner parties, and watching her beloved Kentucky Wildcats play basketball. She and Charles traveled the world together.
She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 59 years, Charles Butterworth.
Linda is survied by her sister, Rebecca Conner Boyd (Louis) of Athens, Georgia; her son, Christopher Charles Butterworth (Susan) of Tallahassee, Florida; her daughter, Tina Butterworth Skinner (Keith) of Decatur; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
All who knew Linda will miss her deeply and will long for the days when they will meet again.
A graveside service will be held, at a later date, at Murray Memorial Gardens.
Roselawn Funeral Home of Decatur, Alabama, is in charge of arrangements.
