Katie Reeder

Mrs. Katie Reen (Morris) Reeder, age 98, of Murray, Kentucky died Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray, Kentucky.

Mrs. Reeder was born in Fort Henry, Tennessee on April 22, 1917 to the late James Madison Morris and Flowery E. (Robinson) Morris. Mrs. Reeder was a homemaker and a member of the West Murray Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Reeder was preceded in death by her husband Glen Reeder, who died in 1994; two sons, Chester Reeder and Grady C. Reeder; two sisters, Delia Parker and Bonnie Fulton; and by one brother, James Morris.

Mrs. Reeder is survived by one daughter, Shirley Keaton and husband Thomas of Cadiz, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Tonya Harmon and Jeffrey Reeder both of Cleveland, Tennessee, Angela Marks of Minden, Louisiana and Laurie Lee of Murray, Kentucky; seven great grandchildren, Ramey Thompson, Jamie Thompson, Kamus Thompson, Colton Reeder, April Reeder, Cody Golden and Matthew Lee; as well as several great- great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with James Hahn officiating. Burial will follow at the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Friday, September 4, 2015 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
