A Funeral Mass for Julia C. Janecek, 88, of Murray, was held today, Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Leo Catholic Church with Father Jason McClure officiating. Burial followed in Murray Memorial Gardens. There was no visitation.
Janecek died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, at 3:45 a.m. at Lemont Center Nursing and Rehabilitation in Lemont, Ill.
Preceding in death were her husband, Joseph Janecek; and daughter, Janice Wengel.
She is survived by her son, Joseph Janecek and wife, Susan of Lemont; sister, Helen Zubko and husband, Bruno of Murray; seven grandchildren, Robert Wengel, Jennifer Moses, Sarah Wengel, Thomas Wengel, Amy Peksa, Rebecca Janecek and Timothy Janecek; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
