Funeral services for Judy Benefiel, 70, of Stella, will be held today, June 21, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home with the Rev. Shannon Benefiel officiating. Burial will follow in Murray Memorial Gardens.
Benefiel died Saturday, June 18, 2011, at 10:20 p.m. at her home.
She was born June 1,1941 in Graves County to Raymond L. and Esther (Rodgers) Freeze.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Terry Benefiel.
Benefiel is survived by her husband, Coleman Benefiel, to whom she was married June 16,1973; one son, Tony Benefiel and wife, Paula of Benton; one daughter, Sarah Green and husband, Jack of Mayfield; two sisters, Phyllis Duckworth and husband, Richard of Murray, and Jerrie Reed of Paducah; two brothers, David Freeze of Mayfield, and Paul Freeze and wife, Joyce Ann of Farmington; nine grandchildren, James Streetman, Doug Benefiel, Shannon Benefiel, Derek Benefiel, Kyle Benefiel, Cecil Benefiel, Kenneth Benefiel, Tim Green and Dana Green; and six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
