MURRAY, Ky. - Juanita Cohoon, 83, of Murray died at 12:53 p.m. Friday at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
She was retired from Murray State University where she worked in the Graduate Admissions Office for 23 years and traveled all over the world with her husband due to his career in the military. Mrs. Cohoon was a native of Murray and of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are one daughter, Bonnie Higginson of Murray; one son, Joe Max Cohoon of Washington D.C.; and two sisters, Wilma Sims and Virginia Brandon, both of Murray.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Nelson Cohoon. Her parents were Joe Futrell and Suella Evans Futrell.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Murray Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Kerry Lambert officiating.
