Mrs. Juanita A. Barrow age 87, of Old Paris- Murray Road, Puryear, Tennessee, died Monday, October 26, 2015 at Brookdale of Murray.
Mrs. Barrow was born March 20, 1928 in Stewart County, Tennessee, to the late Curn Murray Mathis and Edith Sills Mathis. Mrs. Barrow worked in a variety of positions in her life, from Factory work, to housekeeping, and food service. She was a member of the New Providence Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Eugene "Gene" Barrow; one son, George Stephen "Steve" Barrow; two sisters, Edna Barrow, and Sarah Duke; six brothers, Norman, Gene, Max, Wayne, Darrell, and Carter Mathis.
Survivors include one daughter, Gail Herndon and husband Danny of Hazel, Kentucky; one son, Tommy Barrow and wife Janie of Puryear, Tennessee; two sisters, Sybil Barrow and husband Leon of Murray, Kentucky, and Sue Sills of Murray, Kentucky; one brother, Ned Mathis of Murray, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Deborah Sadler and husband Bobby, Jeff Barrow and wife Lisa, Jay Paul Herndon and wife Aymee, Jana Ward and husband Eddie, and Josh Herndon and wife Kacie; also nine great grandchildren survive.
Funeral service for Mrs. Barrow will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 30, 2015 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, John Dale and Blake Jenkins will officiate. Burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
