Mr. Jose Deleon Dy, Jr., 76, of Murray, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Murray Calloway County Hospital with his children by his side.
Mr. Dy was born on August 20, 1941 in the Phillipines. He moved to the US in 1965, proudly served in the United States Navy and retired in 1985 after 20 years of service.
He spent the majority of his life in Southern California and moved to Kentucky in 2008. He loved playing chess and poker and was a member of St. Leo's Catholic church in Murray.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Brenda Dy; parents, Jose D. Dy, Sr., and Natividad de Leon Dy, as well as, three sisters.
Those left to cherish his memory include two sons, Phillip Dy and Dennis Dy, both of Murray; a daughter, Michelle Neiswender (Thom) of Mayfield; six sisters and four grandchildren, Ravyne Dy, Robyne Dy, Skyler Dy and Sara Neiswender.
The funeral service for Mr. Dy is set for 10 AM on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Murray. Father Brandon will officiate and entombment will follow at Murray Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors from 5-7 PM on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Imes Funeral Home & Crematory, downtown Murray.
