Jerry Weatherford

Funeral services for Jerry Darwin Weatherford, 64, of Murray, will be held Thursday, March 17, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home with David Bogard officiating. Burial will follow in Murray Memorial Gardens with military honors.
Visitation will be tonight, Wednesday, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Weatherford died Sunday, March 13, 2011, at 6:02 p.m. at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
Born Jan. 10, 1947 in Murray, to the late James Dale and Gertrude Nelline (Lee) Weatherford, he was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving with the U.S. Army. He was also a retired computer programmer with IBM and a member of the Harley Owners Group.
Preceding in death was one brother, Marvin Weatherford.
He is survived by his wife, Shelly Weatherford, whom he married Dec. 1, 1979; four sons, Matthew Weatherford and wife, Angela of Murray, Daniel Weatherford of Marble Head, Mass., Jesse Weatherford and Michael Weatherford, both of Murray; five grandchildren, James Weatherford, London Weatherford, Evan Weatherford, Kellie Weatherford and Derrick Sanchez; one sister-in-law, Vandelene Weatherford of Murray; and several nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles.
