James Uzzle

Mr. James Wendell "Jimmy" Uzzle, age 73, of Murray, Kentucky died Sunday, June 25, 2017 at the Anna Mae Owen Hospice House in Murray.
Mr. Uzzle was born in Rockford, Illinois on May 21, 1944 to the late Luther Uzzle and Itilene (Thompson) Uzzle. Mr. Uzzle retired after 20 years with UPS. He was a member of the Delmont Baptist Church in Trigg County, Kentucky and was a member of the Cadiz Masonic Lodge #121, F. and A.M. in Cadiz, Kentucky. Mr. Uzzle was an Army veteran and a Kentucky Colonel.
In addition to his parents Mr. Uzzle was preceded in death by one siter, Shirley Merrick; and by one brother, Johnny Uzzle.
Mr. Uzzle is survived by his wife, Shirley Uzzle of Murray, Kentucky, to whom he married on October 23, 1991 in Cadiz, Kentucky; one daughter, Renae Conner and husband Stephen of Murray, Kentucky; one step daughter, Gena Maley and husband Chris of Murray, Kentucky; one step son, Craig Robertson of Puryear, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Josh Conner, Zachary Maley, Brittany Cunningham and Stacey Staples; as well as one great grandchild, Mason Staples.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Bro. Brett Miles officiating. Entombment will follow at the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2017 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
