James M. Puckett
The funeral for James M. Puckett will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Imes-Miller Funeral Home. Dave Morrison will officiate. Burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Mr. Puckett, 76, Radio Road, Dexter, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, at his home. His wife, Virginia Pritchett Puckett, preceded him in death. Born Jan. 29, 1933, he was the son of the late Maxie and Elizabeth Copeland Puckett.
An Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, he was retired from General Motors and was a member of West Murray Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth W. Puckett and wife, Debbie, Indianapolis, Ind., and Max O. Puckett and wife, Pam, Clayton, Ind.; one daughter, Yvonne Evans and husband, Tony, Atlanta, Ga.; three brothers, Sammy, Ricky and Harvey Puckett, and four sisters, Darlene Elkins, Marion Brown, Kay Thorn and Betty (Skipp) Henderson, all of Dexter; six grandchildren, Tiara Combs, and Scott, Brian, James Robert, Jesse and Maximus Puckett.
