Hoyt Cleaver Jr.
ALMO, Ky. - Hoyt Cleaver Jr., 76, of Almo died at 12:30 a.m. Sunday at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
He was the founder of Cleaver Construction Company in 1965 and a member of Almo Church of Christ, where he had served as elder and songleader.
He is survived by his wife, May Kathryn Cleaver; two daughters, Gena Wilson of Murray and Lisa Fielder of Nashville, Tenn.; two sons, Max Cleaver of Murray and Kenneth Cleaver of Almo; three sisters; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. His parents were Hoyt Sr. and Dommie Coplen Cleaver.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Burial will be in Murray Memorial Gardens. Priestly Scott and John Dale will officiate.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
