Harold Pond

Mr. Harold Dick Pond, age 70, of Hazel, Kentucky, died Thursday, December 21, 2017 at his home.
Mr. Pond was born February 14, 1947, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Paul E. Pond and Elalah Gladys Godby Pond. Mr. Pond worked in construction, and was a member of the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. He was also an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three grandsons, E. Matthew Godby, Thomas Lee Wesley, James William Wesley; brother, Donny Pond.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jo Pond of Hazel, Kentucky, they married March 4, 1968 in Somerset, Kentucky; three daughters, Ronda Godby and husband Earl of Buchanan, Tennessee, Penny Starks and husband Eddy of Buchanan, Tennessee, Vicki Canter and husband Chad of Murray, Kentucky; two sons, Wayne Pond of Buchanan, Tennessee, Richie Pond and wife Lori of Paris, Tennessee; two sisters, Linda Etters and husband Paul of Burnside, Kentucky, Jenny Godby of Eubanks, Kentucky; five brothers, Dave Pond, Danny Pond, Paul Pond, Dennis Pond, and Doug Pond; eleven grandchildren, Tommy, Allen, Alicia, Andy, Clinton, Kevin, Chris, Cody, Rachel, Michael, Katelyn, Bernedette; nine great grandchildren, Kaylee, Bryanna, Shawn, Matthew, Ryan, Caiden, Kerri Jo, Alayna, and Cameron.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Bro. Mike White, and Bro. Brent Lee will officiate, and burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
