BENTON, Ky. - Harold Dotson, age 77, of Benton, Ky., died Monday, September 22, 2008, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky.
He was a member of the Benton Church of the Nazarene. He was a retired Railroad Switchman and an Army veteran who served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the UTU for 45 years, and a lifetime member of the DAV.
He was the son of the late Sherman Dotson and the late Maire (Loyd) Dotson.
He is survived by his wife, Christine (Stacy) Dotson. He is also survived by his son, David Dotson, wife Christine, of New Orleans; daughter, Karen Mock, husband Paul, of Starkville, Mississippi. He is survived by brother, Lonnie Jackson, wife Florence, of Benton, Ky.; and sister, Mae Burley of Columbus, Ohio.
His surviving grandchildren are: Dylan Morris; Jake O'Brien, wife Ruth; Raychel O'Brien; and Matthew, Andrew, and Anna-Beth Mock.
Funeral service will be at Collier Funeral Chapel at noon Thursday, September 25, 2008, Mike Wilford and David O'Neal officiating. Interment will be at Murray Memorial Gardens, Murray, Ky. Calvert City Honor Guard Post 236 will perform graveside military rites.
