Funeral services for Frank Kirks, 79, of Murray, Ky., will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, at Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home, with the Rev. Heyward Roberts officiating. Burial to follow in Murray Memorial Gardens.
Kirks died at 6:15 a.m. Friday, Sept. 16, 2011, at Spring Creek Health Care.
He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and a retired truck driver. He was born Feb. 1, 1932, in Calloway County, to the late Burley and Maggie Mae (Peters) Kirks.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia Kirks; one son, Bobby Kirks; one grandson, Bradley Kirks; and one sister, Lillian Dunn.
He is survived by his wife, Debby Ann (Miller) Kirks, to whom he was married March 27, 1998; two daughters, Glenda Nesbitt, of Murray, and Nancy Williams, and husband, Larry, of Hamlin; two sons, Glen Kirks, of Hazel, and Earl Kirks, and wife, Tracy, of Murray; one step-daughter, Joy Smith, of W. Va.; one step-son, Jody Anderson, and wife, Dena, of New Concord; twelve grandchildren, four step-grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Wayne Kirks, Derek Kirks, Robert Kirks, James Jordan, Sonny Milby, Michael Davis and John McCullor.
