Mrs. Eva Orr, age 89, of Murphy, North Carolina, formerly of Murray, Kentucky died on Saturday, July 22, 2017 in North Carolina.
Mrs. Orr was born October 16, 1927 in Calloway County, Kentucky to the late Ray Herndon and Bertha Knight Herndon. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Preston Orr; sister, Mary Wells; three brothers, Richard Herndon, James Herndon and Bobby Herndon.
Mrs. Orr was retired from Murray State University in the cafeteria, and was a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ.
Survivors include one son, Danny Workman of Murphy, North Carolina; brother, Max Herndon of Murray, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Darryl Workman, Shelly Simpson and Ashlee Workman; six great grandchildren, Brianna Simpson, Tyler Simpson, Alexa Simpson, Isabella Simpson, Gabriel Workman and Rafael Workman.
Private family services will be held.
