Mr. Eddie Johnston, 71, of Almo passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY.

Eddie was born January 18, 1947 in Murray to Thomas Augustus Johnston and Mary Louise Donelson Johnston. He was a member of Christian Fellowship in Briensburg, KY and of Emmaus. He was a pipefitter with Local 184 for more than 50 years and worked for LBL/TVA for more than 20 years. Eddie owned and operated Ed's Small Engine and was The Mower Man at the Mayfield Trade Day. He was an avid fisherman and a Kentucky Colonel.

He is survived by his wife, Fay Bell Johnston; son, Richard Lamar Johnston of Evansville, IN; daughter, Melissa Johnston Furchess of Sharpe, KY; sister, Charlotte Rowland (Steve) of Murray; two grandchildren, Darren Cornwell and Sarah Cornwell; nephew, Brad Rowland and niece, Amanda Darnall (Brian).

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, July 16, 2018 at the Heritage Chapel of Imes Funeral Home, 1804 SR 121 N. Bypass in Murray. Richie Clendenen and Scott Wagner will officiate. Burial will follow at Murray Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105

The family will receive visitors between 5-7 PM, Sunday, July 15 at the Heritage Chapel.
