Doris Sirls

Mrs. Doris Jean Sirls, age 90 of Benton, KY died on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Murray-Calloway Co. Hospital. Born Saturday, October 9, 1926 in Murphysboro, IL, she was a member of Aurora Christian Church and worked for the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services.

Mrs. Sirls is survived by her son, Larry Sirls of Benton, KY, 4 grandchildren, Ginger Russell of Benton, KY, Janie Pogue of Benton, KY, Jack Sirls of Murray, KY and Jesse Sirls of Benton, KY; 9 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Sirls was preceded in death by her husband James Edward Sirls and daughter in law Janette Sirls. Her parents were the late Floyd and Emily Jane (Krill) Jackson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, May 1, 2017 in the chapel of Collier Funeral Home with Jeff Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Murray Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held between the hours of 11:00 am until the service time of 1:00 pm on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 W 5th St; Benton, KY.
