Bobby Norwood

Bobby Glen Norwood, 81, of Metropolis passed away at his home at 1:38 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 19, 2010.
Mr. Norwood was a retired machinist from Electric Energy Inc. of Joppa and was a member of Broadway Church of Christ of Paducah and the Metropolis Masonic Lodge 91. Bobby was the kindest and most loving person you ever met. He never met a stranger or failed to help anyone in need. His example of a devoted husband, father and grandpa and friend touched many lives. He will be sadly missed, until we meet him again in Heaven.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 63 years, Inez Trimble Norwood of Metropolis; two sons, Kenny Norwood and wife Glenda of Benton, KY, and Keith Norwood and wife Betty of Metropolis; three grandsons, Adam Norwood and wife Angie of Hardin, Ky., Jody Norwood and wife Morgan of Benton, Ky. And Bobby Norwood and wife Michele of Metropolis; five great-grandchildren, Ethan, Marley, Peyton, Kealey, and Savannah Norwood; and his faithful dog, Sara.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Reba Jones Norwood; and one son, Terry. Graveside service was Tuesday at Murray Memorial Gardens in Murray, Ky. With Andrew Clausen officiating.

Aikens-Farmer Funeral Home of Metropolis was in charge of arrangements.
