Betty Parrish

Mrs. Betty L. Parrish, 76, of Murray, passed away Monday, April 10, 2017 at her home.

Mrs. Parrish was born on October 23, 1940 to the late Waylon Bazzell and Vivian Bean/Sliger. She retired as a comptroller for Dwain Taylor in Murray and was a member of Palestine United Methodist Church.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Junior Parrish; two sisters, Dorothy Bazzell and Wanda Brown; a granddaughter, Meagan Jo Parrish.

Those she lovingly left behind include two sons, William Terry Parrish and Michael Lynn Parrish (Wanda) both of Murray; one daughter, Tronda Jean Mervin (John) of Ewa Beach, Hawaii one stepdaughter, Angela Cherry (Tony) of Murray; two brothers, Ralph Sliger and Dennis Sliger both of Murray; three sisters, Joann Sliger/Thorn, Jean Self and Diana Tindell (Rob) all three of Murray; nine grandchildren, Jason Parrish, Suzanne Hale, Justin Parrish, Jessica McClure, Nicole Hopwood, Elizabeth Mervin, Rebekah Dutton, John Lloyd Mervin, Candice Bieneman; two step grandchildren, Alicia and Erica Cherry; along with ten great grandchildren.

The funeral service is set for 11 AM on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Imes Funeral Home & Crematory, downtown Murray. Burial will follow at Murray Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers include Jason Parrish, Justin Parrish, Jake Tindell, Ben Self, Jayden Rollins, Will Parrish and Brent Stalls.

The family of Mrs. Parrish will receive visitors from 5-8 PM on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Imes Funeral Home & Crematory, downtown Murray.
