Former Emerson Electric assembly worker Bernice M. Byrd, 87, of Paris died Monday, Aug. 2, 2010, at Arbor Place of Puryear.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
Chad Kennedy will officiate. Burial will follow in Murray Memorial Gardens.
Named as pallbearers are Josh, Steve and Michael Page, Donnie and Danny Hutson, Jimmy and Ricky Stewart and Bob Bussey.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Wednesday.
Born in Camden on Aug. 17, 1922, she was a daughter of the late William and Noley Nunnery Stewart.
She was married in 1970 to Harry Byrd, who died in 1982.
Byrd was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, now Community of Christ Church. A family member said she loved fishing and gardening.
She leaves four daughters: Shirley Evans of Paris, Linda (Robert) Ball of Camden, Sara (Donnie) Cohoon of Murray and Carlene (Bob) Norton of Stone Mountain, Ga.; one son, Robert Eldridge and special friend Tamara Nanney of Paris; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She also was preceded in death by a grandchild, Danny Joe Hutson; three sisters; and four brothers.
