Mrs. Alice R. Like, 95, Murray, died Monday, Oct. 27, 2008 at 1:35 a. m. at Spring Creek Health Care, Murray.
A homemaker, she was a recognized 4-H volunteer leader of 50 years of service and was a member of University Church of Christ.
Born Nov. 22, 1913, in Calloway County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Scarbrough and Winnie Williams Scarbrough. Also preceding her in death were one brother, John Will Scarbrough, and four sisters, Lorene Henson, Walena Alexander, Murrell Madrey and Dorothy Grogan.
Survivors include her husband, Cecil Like, to whom she was married Dec. 25, 1937; one daughter, Janet Dees, Murray; two grandchildren, Scott Henderson and wife, Deidre, Houston, Texas, and Stephanie Andrews, Murray; three great-grandchildren, Chandler Andrews, Murray, and Grace and Ethan Henderson, Houston.
The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Richard Youngblood and John Murdock will officiate. Burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens.
